A 20 year old California Institute of Technology student set a new world record yesterday by solving the Rubik’s cube puzzle in 11.13 seconds! The kid is part of the Caltech Rubik’s cube club – a nerdy group of students that study Rubik’s algorithms and then host these compeitions. There’s even a website dedicated to ‘speed cubing’ where you can see other records held in Rubik’s cube competitions.
